I’m not a huge fan of Bono. And I mean that honestly– I like the guy, and U2, but I’m not one of his gushing fans. But Shakes is, and I read his blog (well, I read it when he’s not writing about a terribly-edited-version-of-me!). He highlights an excellent video of Bono giving a speech at the NAACP awards ceremony. It’s great. Starts slowly, but the final 2 minutes has the force of a tidal wave. Must watch.

1Dude, let’s not forget the fact that horribly edited episodes of you (i.e. character assasinations) are fantastic for network ratings. Take one for the team. Take one for the Peacock!

3Great post Bhas, incredible speech. Bono and Sean Penn (who went to NO on a boat after Katrina to save people) are two celebs who should be admired and respected for what they do.
