From what I understand, it is loosely historical. There were obvious liberties taken and I'm sure some not so obvious. But it really was stellar. Since you watched it, is it only loosely historical and mostly kind of fantasy combat kind of stuff, or does it do a good job of narrating the events, like Braveheart did? I watched the preview and read a review of the movie in the paper but I didn't get a good idea about it.
